In answer to the specific needs of the sports market, the GALACTICA software package is the ultimate tool in public information management during a sport event. This powerful and extremely easy to use software has been designed to maximise the performance of the full range of the matrix displays in our products range, from monochrome to top-end colour.


The central program is the Display Director, through which all images to be displayed on the board are coordinated.

Sport specific programs such as football or aquatics can be added to the suite. These programs make an image, often in real time, and send it to the Display Director to be displayed.

An example is the swimming program, which can receive the running clock from the timing system and integrate it with race titles, swimmers names and graphic images to create a composite image on the board.

Our generic Data Handling interface can optionally be configured to interpret output from almost all other devices transmitting information in a consistent fashion, and format that information for display.

The level of control over the display means that information such as security or safety messages can be easily and quickly shown on the display board.

The preview function allows the operator to check the information, animations and sequences before they are displayed and ensure that the correct information is on view at all times.

Standard files types such as web-supported JPG, BMP, GIF and animated GIFs plus AVI and MPEG video files can be imported and played back by the operator without conversion. The drag and drop
technique allows any picture to be displayed immediately on the scoreboard.
